Medieval Cathedrals and the role of the Catholic Church during the Middle Ages were very important. The building were large, some so big that many master masons only worked on a single cathedral there whole life. They took years to complete. Many are still standing today.
Catholic bishops sat on the king’s council. Many of the churches provided education for the people. They also looked after the poor and sick. Once a king converted to Christianity his nobles and people followed. Conversation of a country took place from the king down.
