In
Medieval times what you ate depended on your class. The rich ate a lot of bread made of wheat,
the used a lot of salt too. The rich at roasted meats and made some dairy like
cheese. The peasants ate mostly barley, some rye and wheat too. They made ales from barley which is what they
drank.
They drank well water; the well water was dirty but would flavor it with honey. Peas and beans were something they ate a lot. They also ate onions, cabbage, garlic, nuts and berries. They made a lot of soups. The people thought of raw vegetable as unhealthy. They lacked vitamin A, C and D and ate a low calorie diet. The poor drank ales, mead and cider and the rich drank all kinds of wine.
